Argentoil - Wah (Pvt) Ltd (AWL), a joint venture between Inflex Argentoil of Argentina and Wah Industries Limited (commercial wing of POF), to manufacture and market natural gas cylinders for use in vehicles, is desirous of employing the services of a Finance Manager cum Company Secretary.

Applicants may be required to sit for a test to determine skills level which will eventually qualify a candidate for an oral interview.

Specific Tasks and Responsibilities:

Under the supervision of the CEO, the Finance Manager will:

     

Finance

  1. Take complete responsibility for Financial and Management Accounts of the Company.

  2. Ensure that the Company complies with all financial, tax and reporting regulations as applicable in Pakistan.

  3. Maintain requisite financial records and prepare financial statements as per the Companies Ordinance and International Financial Reporting Standards (IFRS) as applicable in Pakistan.

  4. Prepare statements for consolidation purposes. 

  5. Ensure implementation and maintenance of appropriate accounting software in the Company.

  6. Provide on the job training to finance staff in the company on IFRS and Tax.

Secretarial

  1. Be responsible for adherence to all secretarial requirements of the Company as per Companies Ordinance.

  2. Ensure timely submission of all Corporate returns of the Company.

  3. Manage the secretariat of the Company.

  4. Arrange all meetings of Members and Directors and maintain minutes and ensure distribution and follow up.

  5. Ensure that all Directors are kept abreast with the developments in the Company.

The incumbent will also be required to support other operations of the Company on, as required, basis.

 

Required Skills and Competencies:

  • Expert’s knowledge and experience in Finance.

  • Knowledge and experience in maintenance and reporting of Company’s accounts at a senior management level.

  • Demonstrated knowledge and experience in Taxation.

  • Thorough knowledge of the Companies Ordinance and Secretarial practices.

  • Demonstrated ability of making decisions within delegated authorities.

  • Experience of evaluation and implementation financial and management systems.

  • Demonstrated experience in training of financial and management executives;

  • Excellent command on MS Office applications (including Word, Excel, PowerPoint).

  • Hands on experience of using financial software packages.

  • Excellent command over written and spoken English and Urdu.

  • Flexible and responsive client-oriented approach.

  • Team player with positive attitude.

Academic and professional qualifications:

  • Chartered Accountancy (CA) Finalist, preferably with courses in Secretarial Practice.

Experience:

  • At least 5 years of, post articles, experience in related field; 3-4 years experience at mid to high management levels.
